You can’t do the same things others do and expect to outperform.” – Howard Marks
Not everybody gets outstanding returns from their investments. Only a few manage to get super returns.
So in that sense, if you as an investor, do exactly what most others are doing, you will get returns that will likely be similar to what most people are getting, not what a few manage to get.
In one sense, you must understand that if you want to earn great returns from your investments, you will have to do much more than others.
At the same time, it must be understood, it is not necessary you try to outperform.
Not everybody needs to be a great investor. You can be great in one domain and not be great in others.
If you’re good at your day job – whatever it is that you do – you need not be a great investor. Getting decent returns is enough too.
Invest safely after a deep research. For better returns go through current affairs and be aware of which companies are grabbing bigger and safer contracts.

On INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY the entire nursing fraternity of the world pay respect to Florence Nightingale, an English nurse, a social reformer and a statistician who founded the key pillars of modern nursing.
This day is to thank all nurses, their dedication, and work, especially during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.Nurses play an essential role in our medical institutions such as giving safety or help in the recovery of patients etc. No doubt when a patient is in need of care then nurses work tirelessly to identify and protect the needs of the individual.
Nurses also have immense knowledge and have several skills that they spend in an organisation for perfection and development. Most of the time nurses work in tough environments where extreme stress is a part of their job.
OUR COVID WARRIORS WHO LEFT US.
Let’s remember Ambika PK who became the first nursing staff in the capital to lose her life to COVID-19. The 46-year-old had been admitted on 21 May due to difficulty in breathing. Ambika’s colleagues have alleged that nurses were being asked to reuse PPE including masks and gloves, while doctors were given fresh ones.
Samantha’s death is a heartbreaking consequence of the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a life-long learner and community-minded caregiver, Samantha’s husband and four children say she wanted to make a difference. They believe she would want her death not to be in vain, but to serve as a stark reminder that people must do whatever they can to protect themselves and others and take this pandemic seriously.
Two Keralites succumbed to COVID-19 abroad on Monday. 54-year-old nurse Princy Xavier died in Cologne in Germany and 74-year-old Susamma Mathews died in New Jersey.
As nurses continue to fight their battles worldwide.Tamil Nadu continues to battle the Covid-19 surge, a pregnant doctor and two nurses became the latest casualties of the virus
Shanmugapriya, a 32-year-old doctor was working at the Anupanady Government Primary Healthcare Centre was eight months pregnant and was treating Covid-19 patients.

On Sunday morning, Shanmugapriya succumbed to the infection. Doctors were also unable to save her baby.
52-year-old Prema of Rajiva Gandhi Nagar in Vellore caught the fever while she was working as a nurse at the Vellore Government Hospital. Prema was admitted to the same hospital where she had been working for 25 years. She tested positive for Covid-19 on April 26.
As her health deteriorated, Prema was given oxygen support and was also put on ventilator support. But she passed away on May 9.
Recognize nurses everywhere. Celebrate their dedication and commitment to their patients and their profession. Tell someone about the excellent care you’ve received from a nurse.Give nurses you know a shout out and thank them for their hard work, especially during these challenging times of COVID pandemic.
Human driven ecological degradation continues to be a major problem around the world. Air pollution kills an estimated seven million people worldwide every year. Here I’ll talk about various pollutants, the ongoing pandemic and what role trees play in our life.
Different conditions are responsible for indoor air pollution in the rural areas and the urban areas.
Rural areas face the greatest threat from indoor pollution, where people rely on traditional fuels such as firewood, charcoal and cowdung for cooking. Burning such fuels produce large amount of smoke and other pollutants.Women and children are most vulnerable as they spend more time indoor.
Urban areas have an increased exposure to Pollutants such as 1. Tobacco : smoke generates a wide range of harmful chemicals and is carcinogenic. It results in burning of eyes ,nose and throat irritation, severe asthma and decreased lung functioning. 2. Formaldehyde: mainly from carpets ,particle boards and insulation foam. It causes irritation to eyes and nose and allergies. 3. Radon : it is emitted naturally by soil.Due to poor ventilation in modern houses ,it is confined inside the house and causes lung cancers.
As India struggles with Covid-19, the disease has exposed weakened immunities and failing facilities. It has left us gasping, literally, for oxygen. A recent report states that air pollution is causing a rapid increase in the death rate due to COVID-19. And, that is why there is an urgent need for cleaner air which we can get from plants and trees.
Too much exposure to air pollution affects your health and immunity, making you susceptible to infections and diseases. It severely affects the vulnerable group of people including children, pregnant women, and elderly raising their risk of getting COVID-19. It has also been found that if you are already affected by COVID-19 virus, your chances to die from the disease increases if you are exposed to excessive air pollution. Air pollutants can exacerbate the preexisting conditions raising your possibility of suffering from its lethal complications.
Imposing lockdown can not only help contain the virus but prevent an increasing number of deaths due to COVID-19. Another way to slow down the pollution level is by planting more and more trees. Keep your surroundings green so that you remain safe and away from COVID-19.
Trees are an important part of our world. Trees improve air quality by acting as natural air filters removing dust, smoke and fumes from the atmosphere by trapping them on their leaves, branches and trunks.
Trees reduce the GREENHOUSE effect by removing carbon dioxide from the air and releasing oxygen. Each year a mature tree produces enough oxygen for 10 people.
Trees are also an effective sound barrier and can limit noise pollution. Recent research shows that trees also help reduce the stress of modern life.
Trees in themselves benefit the environment and the landscape, but they are also an integral part of the ecosystem providing benefits to wildlife and biodiversity. They help to keep our air clean and our ecosystem healthy. We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.Trees breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. We’re family and we must live like a family. We can never have enough nature .I swear to you ,there are divine things more beautiful than my words can tell.
LET’S PLANT MORE TREES AND PLANT HOPE FOR THE FUTURE GENERATION.
One day dowry came With a lot of blame Cause i didn’t liked things So my heart pinged
My wife is my dowry And I love her as Lowry Mom and dad don’t even think That I love these costly things
Dowry is just an illusion That gets everyone in confusion Dowry is a bad word With alot of godly curse
To the people who put pressure U are going to get crushed in a thresher To the people who torture U will be hit by a scorcher
Dowry dowry just teach humans a lesson That you must not work like a caisson D…..donkeys O…..of the first order W….who cannot withstand on their own feet R…..rely on their wife’s riches Y……yet shameless
Be a man not a beggar to ask dowry.
Why is the dowry system still a threatening reality? Why do we value a woman’s life around the amount of gold she brings in dowry? Questions like these need to be raised again and again.
Taking or giving dowry has been criminalized by law. But, it is still a significant part of Indian marriage and is openly defying laws and failing women empowerment.
The brutal reality of the dowry system is not the story of rural areas only. Even the educated family sitting in metropolitan cities like Delhi and Bangalore is harassing a woman for not bringing enough gold or money.Sometimes I even hear about cases of IAS officers which is heartbreaking .
“Any young man, who makes dowry a condition to marriage, discredits his education and his country and dishonours womanhood.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi
Dowry system makes it necessary for a bride’s family to give dowry in cash or kind to the groom’s family as a pre-condition for marriage. After marriage, some families demand more dowry and when it is not fulfilled- either because of the inability of the bride’s family or the denial of the bride herself, the groom and his family abuse and kill the bride. In one of the cases reported in Bengaluru in January 2020, a few weeks after marriage, a husband demanded cash despite receiving 1kg gold in dowry as per his demands. When the extra demand was denied, he burnt his wife.
According to my views you have your whole life ahead of you. Be smart, Study hard and be independent. You must rely on yourself. No matter what else people may steal from you, they will never be able to take away your knowledge. The world is changing. You must make your own life outside this home.
Why The Dowry System Is Still Prevalent?
We are in 2020. Dowry system was abolished in 1961 in India. The reason for the prevalence of this custom is the patriarchal society that values men over women. In India boys have a rate card in many societies. This is the unofficial price the boy is worth. And that worth is measured by the amount of dowry a boy will get upon marriage. The stronghold of the gender inequality in Indian society makes a bride’s family feel obliged to meet the dowry demands of the man who has ‘agreed’ to take care of the daughter. The second major reason is that the dowry system is too deeply rooted in the Indian culture that it is seen as normal and unchangeable.
Even today, if people are reminded that dowry is a crime, they ignore it as an alternate reality which cannot change the age-old customs. Many educated families practice it, willingly or unwillingly, to avoid being criticized for not following the customs. After all who will dare to change the traditions? The third and most important reason is the dominance of the institution of marriage. A woman’s marriage is of the paramount importance in Indian families. If a woman’s marriage requires dowry in return of her secured married life which is a challenge in the world that is unsafe and discriminatory for women, it is never seen as a crime.
Dowry deaths are a result of this stagnancy in the traditions and cultures. Groom’s families take advantage of the stronghold of the dowry system which will ultimately bring them wealth. Often they ‘rightfully’ abandon or abuse the woman for dowry because she and her family did not fulfil their duty. This is a harsh reality that still haunts the lives of the women who are moving ahead towards a respectable, empowered and independent future. This system is the major reason why daughters are considered as a burden for the families. Consequently, families either keep the wealth aside for the daughter’s dowry rather than investing in her education or kill her before birth to get rid of the burden forever.Only our thinking can save these precious lives and bring about a major change in this world full of dowry demanding creatures.
How Young Women can Bring A Change?
Girls must understand that a marriage grounded on the exchange of dowry is only a business deal. She must believe that marriage only needs love and respect. If a boy cannot marry her without her money, he doesn’t deserve her.She is more capable to excel in her life with her own capabilities. She should convince her family to not seek dowry for her brother’s marriage. They should tell them not to seek dowry because they don’t need money to keep someone else’s girl. If the boy considers her as his another half then dowry is almost negligible in front of that.
Girls must bring a change in the prevalence of the dowry system by being self-dependent and refusing to marry anyone who needs money to marry them.
यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः । यत्रैतास्तु न पूज्यन्ते सर्वास्तत्राफलाः क्रियाः ॥ Which means -The divine are extremely happy where women are respected ;where they are not, all actions are fruitless.
Dowry system gets an open passage in the society despite being a crime because no one dares to take legal action against the families. There is a need of organizing more workshops and discussions on this issue so that its seriousness is realized.
According to recent reports on an average, every hour a woman succumbs to dowry deaths in India. No matter how many qualifications a woman earns, her identity and the right to live is decided according to the kilograms of gold, cash, luxury cars and appliances she brings in dowry for her in-laws.I don’t know why people show off something that is not even their’s in weddings. If you are reading this article and consider my views right enough, kindly share it widely so we can push for conversations that question this and helps us all change the system. It’s going change if we all stand together.
I request you all to share your views on this serious issue and suggest possible ways to eradicate this evil system from our society.
POETRY IS GOOD FOR SOUL BUT SOMETIMES ITS HARD TO CONTROL
IF YOU BREAK A POET’S HEART
HE’LL EXPRESS YOU WITH HIS ART
HE’LL DESCRIBE YOU IN WORDS
WORDS THAT WOULD SEEM LIKE BLEEDING BIRDS
FLYING FROM HIS SOUL AND LANDING ON HIS WRITING PAD
This world is amazing The world that doesn’t move according to man The world that moves with time Where time doesn’t really wait for anybody And things go wrong with time But no one’s time remains the same always Your time changes with your hardwork Nothing is truly constant in life And everything does change for sure One doesn’t always remains on top Cz fall is sure if there is rise Just believe that You are strong and you are bold You may not have your say or told This world doesn’t have any doors There are only windows Through which we can peep And try to understand what’s going so deep This world ends to me every night After a day long hectic fight And begins again every morning With that bright sunlight
1.Is opening liquor shops a wise decision made by the government? 2.Don’t you people feel that this was the right time to diverge Alcoholic minds to a right path by banning Liquor shops? 3.Do you think that drinking excessive alcohol can save you? 4.Don’t you think that instead of opening liquor shops government should have given orders to open Gyms ?
Alcohol shops across States began opening their shutters from May 4 after the easing of India’s COVID-19 lockdown. Serpentine queues marked the reopening of liquor vending outlets.
Wearing of masks was made mandatory to line up at the outlets. But COVID-19 safety protocols like physical distancing and the wearing of masks were thrown to the wind.
Protests were held in several places against the reopening of liquor outlets.
Alcohol’s impact on your body starts from the moment you take your first sip. While an occasional glass of wine with dinner isn’t a cause for concern, the cumulative effects of drinking wine, beer, or spirits can take its toll.
A glass a day may do little damage to your overall health. But if the habit grows or if you find yourself having a hard time stopping after just one glass, the cumulative effects can add up.
How Alcohol affects Sugar levels in our body?
As we know that Covid 19 is grabbing people who already are suffering from deadly diseases and so is with the diabetic people. The pancreas helps regulate your body’s insulin use and response to glucose. When your pancreas and liver aren’t functioning properly, you run the risk of experiencing low blood sugar. A damaged pancreas may also prevent the body from producing enough insulin to utilize sugar. This can lead too much sugar in the blood. And further can lead to other deadly diseases such as COVID-19 presently.
If your body can’t manage and balance your blood sugar levels, you may experience greater complications and side effects related to diabetes. It’s important for people with diabetes or hypoglycemia to avoid alcohal at any cost.If ever they feel like drinking they can have a very small amount of Red wine.
COVID 19##Immune system##ALCOHAL
To fight COVID 19 we need a strong immune system but do you know that drinking heavily reduces your body’s natural immune system. This makes it more difficult for your body to fight off invading germs and viruses such as COVID-19.
People who drink heavily over a long period of time are also more likely to develop pneumonia and tuberculosis than the general population. About 10 percent of all tuberculosis cases worldwide can be tied to alcohol consumption. Drinking alcohol also increases your risk for several types of cancer, including mouth, breast, and colon.
From the above two paragraphs you can easily conclude that how bad is alcohal for you and how badly it can effect you.Government will never ever help you with anything if something bad happens to you or to your family members. They are just to here to dupe people of their hard earned money weather it is done by Opening liquor shops during Lockdown or by supplying Liquor during voting Campaigns. We are the people who suffer. If liquor shops were opened why are Gyms still closed?Government must promote physical exercise and let people open their Gyms. They must promote cycling too and if possible, only cycles must be allowed within the cities. This will help people of our country to stay fit and will help to heal mother earth.
